Astro Run

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The short version

  • There is no account and no server of ours. We never receive your progress, stats or settings.
  • Your game progress is saved only on your phone.
  • The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers (including the advertising ID), your approximate location from your IP address, ad interactions and diagnostics to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent first.
  • Purchases go through Google Play. We never see your payment details.
  • You can wipe your progress any time with Settings > Reset progress, or by uninstalling.

Who we are

Astro Run (package com.snailpixel.astrorun) is a one-button endless runner game published by SnailPixel.

What stays on your phone

Astro Run has no account and no sign-up. Everything the game remembers is kept in one file in the app's private storage on your phone:

  • your stats (runs, best distance, jumps and similar counts),
  • your progress (stardust, upgrades, missions, ranks, awards, Star Pass tiers and Supply Crates),
  • the suits, trails and companion drones you own,
  • your Daily Run streak, today's Daily Run "ghost" (the path of your best attempt today) and your Weekly Challenge best,
  • your settings (sound, music, haptics, reduce motion, reminder switch),
  • a record of the products you bought, so a purchase is never paid out twice and Remove Ads restores itself.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else by the game. The game has no networking code of its own and no analytics. The only data that leaves your phone comes from the Google services described below.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Astro Run is free and is paid for by ads from Google AdMob:

  • a banner at the bottom of menu screens, never during a run;
  • an occasional full-screen ad when you leave the results screen after a run, never when you die, at launch or on exit, and never in your first few minutes;
  • an optional video ad you can choose to watch for a "Second chance" in a run.

Buying Remove Ads or the Starter Pack turns off the banner and full-screen ads for good. The optional video ad stays available because you choose it. Ads are limited to content suitable for teens.

To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your IP address (which can be used to estimate your general location), ad interactions such as taps and video views, diagnostic information about app and SDK performance, and device identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and the app set ID. Ads may be personalised where you allow it. Nothing from your game save is included in an ad request. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services. All of it is encrypted in transit.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (usually Settings > Privacy > Ads) and manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.

Your consent

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's consent form is shown before any ad is requested, and you can choose how your data is used for ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy choices. Where US state privacy laws give you a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for ads, the same form lets you do that.

Purchases (Google Play)

Astro Run offers optional one-time purchases: Remove Ads, a Starter Pack (Remove Ads plus stardust, one time only) and stardust packs (Stardust Pouch, Stardust Sack, Stardust Vault). Payments are handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card, bank or Google account details. The game only learns from Google Play which products you own and keeps a record of them on your phone so it can restore them. Supply Crates and the Star Pass are earned by playing and are never sold.

Ratings and reviews

The game may ask Google Play to show its rating card once, after a personal best. Google decides whether to show it, and any rating or review you leave is handled by Google Play under your Google account. We do not receive it through the game.

Notifications

This version of Astro Run does not send notifications. If daily reminders are added, they will be local notifications scheduled on your phone, off until you switch them on in Settings.

Permissions

Astro Run uses internet and network-state access for ads and Google Play purchases (the game itself plays offline), the Google Play billing permission for purchases, and the advertising ID permission used by Google AdMob. Google's libraries also declare a few technical permissions they need to work, such as basic phone state for the ad SDK (no prompt; the game never reads your calls or contacts). The game does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, files or phone calls.

Children

Astro Run is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game itself collects no personal information at all. If you are a parent and have a question, write to [email protected].

Keeping and deleting your data

Your progress stays on your phone until you delete it. Settings > Reset progress wipes every run, upgrade, suit and award; your purchases are kept so you do not lose what you paid for. Uninstalling the game removes everything, and Remove Ads comes back from Google Play when you reinstall. We keep no copy on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete. For data Google holds for ads, reset your advertising ID or use Google's tools.

Security

Your save is kept in the app's private storage, protected by Android. Cloud backup is switched off for this game, so if you lose your phone or uninstall the game we cannot recover your progress (purchases are restored by Google Play). Data sent by Google's services is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we handle to the minimum the game needs.

What we do not do

  • No account, no cloud save, no online leaderboards, no chat.
  • No analytics or crash-reporting tools of our own.
  • We do not sell your personal information and do not use it to train AI.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top, and mention big changes in the release notes.
