Star Quarry

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Star Quarry ("the game") is made by SnailPixel. It is a free-to-play single-player game, supported by ads and optional in-app purchases. This policy explains what information is used, by whom, and why.

The short version

  • The game has no accounts, no logins and no servers of its own.
  • Your progress is saved only on your device.
  • Google AdMob shows ads and may use your device's advertising ID and approximate location (from your IP address) to do so. Where the law requires it, you are asked first.
  • Google Play handles every purchase. We never see your payment details.

Data saved on your device

Your progress (money, buildings, upgrades, rank, trophies, relics, stars, daily quests, chests, settings and so on) is saved in files in the game's private storage on your device. It is never uploaded by us, Android backup is switched off for the game, and everything is deleted when you uninstall it.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and fix problems, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and send to Google:

  • your device's advertising ID;
  • approximate location derived from your IP address;
  • device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and app version;
  • ad interactions, such as which ads were shown or tapped;
  • diagnostics, such as crash logs and performance data from the ad SDK.

Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. We do not receive your advertising ID or any personal data from Google, only aggregated reports such as how many ads were shown.

  • Consent: in the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and other regions where consent is required, Google's consent form is shown before any ads are requested.
  • Change your mind at any time: Pause menu - Settings - Privacy and ad choices (shown where it applies).
  • Reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings (Settings - Google - Ads), which also stops personalised ads.
  • Ads in the game are limited to content rated for general audiences (PG).
  • Reward ads ("Watch an ad: double it" and similar) are always optional. Nothing in the game requires watching one.

In-app purchases (Google Play)

Purchases (No Ads, Double Cash, the VIP Bundle and cash packs) are handled entirely by Google Play. You enter payment details into Google Play, never into the game, and we never see them. The game only receives a confirmation of what was bought (with a purchase token) so it can unlock it, and keeps that on your device. Refunds are requested through Google Play; refunded items are removed from the game the next time it starts.

Permissions

  • Internet and network state: to load ads and to reach Google Play for purchases. The game itself plays offline.
  • Vibrate: haptic feedback, which you can switch off in Settings.
  • Billing: lets Google Play take payments for the shop.
  • Advertising ID, wake lock, foreground service and basic phone state: added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK for showing and measuring ads.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data, we do not run analytics of our own, we do not track you across other apps, and we have no server that stores anything about you.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the game deletes all of its data from your device. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. To remove advertising data held by Google, reset or delete your advertising ID as described above, or use Google's own privacy tools.

Children

Star Quarry is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the game and want related advertising data removed, reset the device's advertising ID or contact us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date, and significant changes will be described in the store listing.
