How to Win No Mistakes Mode
No Mistakes mode changes how you play more than any other challenge. There is no room for a lucky guess. Every symbol you place has to be one you can prove.
Never place what you cannot prove
In a normal game a wrong guess costs a life. In No Mistakes it ends the run. So the golden rule is simple. Only place a symbol when logic has forced it, never because it feels likely. If you are not certain, do not place it yet.
Lean on notes
Notes are your safety net here. Pencil in the candidates for tricky cells before you commit anything final. Smart cleanup will tidy them as you place symbols. When a cell has only one candidate left in your notes, you can place it with total confidence.
Slow down at the hard step
- Take the certain placements first and leave the ambiguous cells for later.
- When progress stalls, resist guessing and look again for a forced move.
- Use a hint before a guess, since a revealed cell is always correct.
- Double check a symbol against its row, column and box before you tap.
Calm wins clean runs
The runs that fail usually fail to haste, not to difficulty. There is no clock pressure in No Mistakes, so let the mode reward patience. A steady, provable solve will carry you to the end far more reliably than speed.
